What does investing mean?

Investing means to put your money at work, so that it makes more money.

In general, investing means for example buying parts of companies (shares), lending money to governments or companies (bonds), buying houses (real estate) or starting your own company – among many other things, in order to make money.

Investing (with Selma) is not gambling as it is based on analysis and a reasonable expectation of return based on your investments. Your investments should always take your personal financial situation into account and how much risk you would like to take.
